Two children set out in search of the Blue Bird of happiness. The search itself is more important than the shape or color the Blue Bird may take. It is the pretext for an adventure that opens before them, one meant to bring us back to ourselves—for no journey is more beautiful than the return after a wondrous adventure.

In this performance, the Blue Bird takes on many forms, and the search teaches the children what it means to pay attention to the world around them—with love, empathy, and a critical eye. This is a play equally about the universe of fantasy and the fragments of reality that surround us, about wonder and pure, immediate enthusiasm.
